YOUNG FARMER CHALLENGE

Proudly supported by Lisa Butler MP

The Ag Group South Coast and Tablelands Inc. (TAG) together with the Nowra Show Society are pleased to present the Young Farmer Challenge on Saturday 10th February at the 2024 Nowra Show.

The Young Farmer Challenge is a fun, entertaining and fast-paced obstacle course (of sorts) comprised of farm-related challenges. Example challenges include setting up a pigtail fence, identifying grains, splitting wood and differentiating between native and invasive fish in a fun fishing challenge. Teams are comprised of four members, aged between 18-35, who compete against each other to complete the challenge as quickly as possible.

The fundamental goal of running the challenge is to engage, entertain and educate the audience about Australian Agriculture, and have a lot of fun whilst doing so!

The challenge is a fantastic way for young people to network with members of their community and is great fun for spectators too. Don’t miss the 2024 Nowra Show Young Farmer Challenge 5.00pm Saturday 10th February.

Entries will be taken on the day until 1pm at the Show Office.

Prize Money: 1st – $800, 2nd – $400, 3rd – $100

For further information, or to obtain an entry form, please contact Lisa Horner (TAG President) 0491 124 466 or lisa.m.horner1@gmail.com.
